Nitric Oxide. Make More.

A signalling molecule your body produces continuously. It keeps blood vessels healthy, flexible and clear. Your daily habits either build it or deplete it.

What It Does
  • Relaxes blood vessel walls — lowers blood pressure and improves circulation.
  • Inhibits plaque accumulation in vessel walls.
  • Supports immune defence against bacteria and viruses.
  • Improves oxygen delivery to working muscle.
  • Mediates erectile and sexual function.
How to Boost It
  • Exercise — systemic production. Increased blood flow activates the enzyme in vessel walls that produces nitric oxide on demand. Both aerobic and HIIT are effective. HIIT produces the strongest effect.
  • Breathe through your nose — continuous local production. The sinuses generate it constantly. Nasal breathing delivers it directly to the lungs, improving oxygen uptake and post-exercise recovery. Mouth breathing bypasses this entirely.
  • Sunlight on skin — sustained systemic release. UVA converts nitrate stores in the skin into circulating nitric oxide. The effect persists for hours after exposure.
What Depletes It
  • Antibacterial mouthwash — depletes the oral bacteria that convert nitrate to nitric oxide. Associated with significantly increased risk of hypertension and pre-diabetes. Avoid antibacterial formulations.
  • Oxidative stress — smoking, high blood sugar, chronic inflammation all destroy nitric oxide before it can act.
  • Sedentary behaviour — vessel walls need mechanical pressure from blood flow to produce it. Sitting still is the opposite of that.

PS. Check your mouthwash. Most people have no idea what it is doing.
